The Sustainable Singapore Gallery at the Marina Barrage invites you to LITE-UP 2022 Sustainability Night on Saturday, 10 December from 1pm – 9pm, where you will explore one of the world’s biggest challenges — going carbon lite.
LITE-UP is an annual event organised that is packed with engaging games, exhibits and activities. LITE-UP 2022 focuses on the theme of Carbon-Lite, and reducing one’s carbon footprint.
Here are some of the exciting games and activities you can look forward to at LITE-UP 2022:
Night At The Gallery
Mission against eMission, Film Screening
Take part in mission games to learn more about carbon footprint and the effects it has on The Semakau Landfill at the Sustainable Singapore Gallery from 4pm – 9pm.
You can also watch the short film “His Epic Message Will Make You Want To Save The World” at the Courtyard room at level 2. This short film features Prince Ea who makes a powerful case for protecting the planet and challenges the human race to create a sustainable future.
Fringe Activities (Workshops)
Discover how to turn disused items into something valuable through 5 different upcycling workshops at the Gallery Mezzanine from 2pm – 6pm:

– Upcycled No Sew Fabric Tote Bag
– Upcycled Fabric Multi Holder
– Upcycled Christmas Ornament
– Upcycled Glass Bottle Lamp
Sustainability Activities
Check out these interactive exhibitions and booths along the Foyer at Level 1 to find out more about sustainable and safe living from 2pm – 9pm.
Look out for GovTech Smart Nation Builder, SPF Roadshow, Water Wally/Sally Roadshow, Game of CO2, Recycle Right, and The Plastic Project SG: Upcycled Plastic Station.
Green Bazaar
Opt for sustainable options when you shop at the Green Bazaar at the Central Courtyard from 1pm – 9pm.
B.E.S.T Marketplace
B.E.S.T Marketplace stands for Buy, Exchange, Sell and Take, and this is exactly what we hope you will do at this Marketplace near the Water Playground at Level 1 and Deck B from 2pm – 6pm. Give a new lease of life to your disused items by bringing them in to swap and exchange or buy new things.
